In such situations, the members of the public are meant to subscribe to some ideological concepts because of their vulnerability. Additionally, individuals are mostly driven to go with the masses since the media enterprises have massive following globally. Hence anything that they churn out would likely be followed by several people across the globe. Some campaigns are being done to change the negativity that has been associated with some matters that are taken as dominant ideologies.

How to ensure that media improves the society positively

The advancement in the technological era has brought some unforeseen challenges in the media fraternity. Hence, most conglomerates are working on avenues that can be used to share content that is laced with positivity. A review of the material before being released to the public would be highly effective because some bits would be cut off if there is a possibility that it would have a negative impact (Al, 2010). The media can be used to create awareness against social vices such as terrorism. The entire planet is at risk of being attacked by such groups. However, relaying news and documentaries that castigate their actions would be a platform for injecting positivity about dominant ideologies. Consequently, people would have been alerted about their intended plans in advance.

The media has a dose of both negative and positive conditioning to members of the public. Based on the delivery of their content, an issue can be marketed as bad while another gets a nod as a whole ideology. For instance, multinationals have been known to engage in aggressive marketing campaigns to lure unsuspecting consumers to purchase their products without a thorough background on the raw materials that have been used in the production stages. Contrarily, the media can be used to condition people positively. For instance, individuals can be alerted about the benefits of not being a gun holder. Such thoughts are modeled according to the message that is intended to the public.

Impact of Media Influences

An ideology becomes dominant once people subscribe to it in large numbers. Media has a way of transforming people to conform to certain standards (Coban, 2018). The outlets achieve this step by making individuals believe that there is only a specific way of doing something. For instance, the use of women is several adverts has been driven by such a mentality. Therefore, individuals have created a notion that incorporating women who conduct themselves in a given way has a way of pushing the sales.
