The location of Grand Canyon national park is in Arizona in the United States of America. It is 288 miles long, a mile deep and 18 miles wide. It was formed as a result of erosion that happened in Colorado River after seismic activity. This geographic activity resulted in a rock that is believed to be more than a billion years old. It has more than 250 bird species, 90 species of mammals and five species of reptiles. The park is famous for its scenic vistas which are always changing as well as its landscape. The park begins at Lees Ferry and stretches up to Grand Wash Cliffs. The park is unique considering its features such as perennial streams, as well as waterfalls which boost its view. In Grand Canyon also there are fir and pine forests, mesas and plateaus, painted deserts and sandstone canyons. The site is naturally beautiful and offers different visual experiences during different times of the year as it changes visually.

The park is rich in flora and fauna, and many southwestern ecological habitats are found there. Various plants grow in the site depending on the availability of sunlight. Vegetation such as sagebrush scrub, pinyon pines, and woodlands which are found at the elevated areas of the park boost the natural beauty of the site (Borja). In the northern rim, it is where mountain lions and northern goshawks are found while mule deer, rock squirrels, and gray fox are found in the south rim. The park has flowering plants such as paintbrush and primrose as well as other 659 species of wildflowers.

Navajo point is a 7,500 feet elevation located at the south rim of the Grand Canyonone and a half mile from the East entrance of the park(Borja). This scene is significant to the park as it provides a perfect view of the Colorado River. Yaki point is another scene that boosts the beauty of the park as its color changes during sunrise and sunset. The Lipan point is another scene in the park that is significant to the visitors. This point provides a clear view of Temple Butte and Chuar Butte where two commercial planes collided in 1958.

Mather point is a significant point that provides a clear view of the phantom ranch and Canyon’s base. The point name was derived from the first superintendent of the park named Stephen Mather (Borja). Grandview point, on the other hand, is situated below 7,500 feet and is the most famous view of Grand Canyon as it provides a clear view of Krishna Shrine, Shiva Temple, Rama Shrine and Vishnu Shrine. When standing at this point, it is also possible to see a tiny stretch of the Colorado River

The park has species of snakes sixof which are rattlesnakes that are found on the boundaries of the park. However, there is one that stands out due to its pink color that matches the color of the color of the local rocks(Borja).The pink rattlesnake is found on the rocks and sands in the boundary of the park mostly searching for lizards to feed on. Such a species does not exist anywhere else on earth thereby attracting tourists to the park.

In conclusion, Grand Canyon is the best site to visit both for both international and local tourists. The features of the park are exceptional, and the experience does not only serve the purpose of relaxation but also provides knowledge through education programs. At different points, it is possible to have a clear view of the park.
