Superman is one of my favorite TV film stars whose character portrayed adventures in his life from a comic nature to a crime fighter. Contemporary films display him as a softened individual who has a sense of morality and idealism. The fact that Superman initially could not fly then later developments gave him the ability to fly adds more appeal to the Superman character. Superman’s influential nature displayed him possessing pragmatic “supernizing” attributes (Predelli, 310). Examples of these extraordinary abilities include strength, super speed, vision powers and invulnerability to which prompted him to struggle with his sense of identity. The supernatural abilities ensured that he struggled to find a sensed identity between the real and extraordinary worlds. Superman’s ability to use these extraordinary powers to “save” the world from criminals displayed his leadership skills and sense of morality which qualifies him as my hero rather than a celebrity.
My favorite female film star is Anne Shirley of Green Gables because she displays the attributes of a strong and intelligent woman. She was an outsider who gained her acceptance to her community hence was adventurous. The fact that she assumed roles designed for boys illuminates that she was a feminist role model particularly for young girls showing them that they are just as great as boys. Notably, Anne manages to connect generations through her role play since her existence is dated from a while back till date. Furthermore, she also showed that there is power in imagination since she used her overactive imagination to work out people’s problems by walking in their shoes. She also encourages the sense of self-identity and acceptance regardless of possessing peculiar attributes. Anne proves that it is okay to be odd and not get ashamed of this.
