Community-based empowerment and participatory is a promising approach the help in reducing health disparities in the lives of the people involved. It empowers communities and individuals to become the main participants in solving their health problems. Organizing for Social System Advocacy

Organizing social action allows members of a particular groupwhich has been discriminated on the economic ladder to have a voice. It will enable members of the group, for example, the stigmatized AIDS infected persons,  to come together to an affirmed plea and demands from the broad community for equal treatment or increased resources availability.

Coalition

These are larger groups that unitepeople and organizations form the community such as the many groups who regularly work together.  A coalition working for to heighten AIDS awareness is an example of such group in the city. This strategy brings all officials from different health departments, young people, members of GLBT as well as the business leaders who don’t meet together to safeguard the community (Kerrigan et al., 2015). Coalition power relies on the idea of strength which is obtained from numbers. The coalition aims at bringing together many people together for a comprehensive change that may be needed.

Social Planning

Social planning strategy focuses on getting the results of the local development. It emphasizes solving different types of social problems such as high crime rates and inadequate housing among community members. It also helps in delivering goods and services to avoid any duplication which might affect the community members.

Role of the Community Nurse

A community nurse ensures that the strategies meet the threshold of the community goals. The also provides that all social problems are addressed for a cohesive development. He unites all the coalitions for an overall goal and objective(Kerrigan et al., 2015). Overall, the nurse helps in creating more awareness to health problems that might be a threat to thelives of the community members.
