As a university student, I have been able to gather information and ideas from different sources. I have acquired a number of new skills on the way. A major skill I have learnt is on how to deal with people from different cultures.  Cultures are different with different practices and beliefs. People respond to things differently based on their cultural practices. In the university, I was able to interact with different people all from different cultures.  I noted how culture is sensitive. Something can mean very different in different cultures. Another skill I have developed in the university is how to effectively socialize. Effective socialization requires trust. Our societies are built on trust.  A good example is that we comfortably eat food in a hotel because we trust the owner not to poison the food.

I have also embraced global education. The world is becoming smaller and smaller. Technology is bringing people together. Technology helped me acquire the necessary skills to enable me progress in my education. The internet is the source of any information. I researched mainly on the internet about academic integrity. Some of the things I researched on were how to maintain academic standards. I also acquired skills on how to evaluate and solve problems. As a university, student problems arise now and then. Through experiencing such problems and solving them. I acquired problem-solving skills.

University experience is no way different from the experience out there in the world. My plan is to integrate the skills I acquired in the university to my daily activities. Any information I need is very available on the internet. Thus any time I need to acquire any information, my plan is to search on the internet.

Our society has an integration of many cultures. I will be able to utilize my skills in culture when dealing with people.  Identifying the cultural beliefs and practices and how different people respond will be easy. I also plan to be helping my friends and colleagues to acquire information from the internet. My problem solving skills will be helpful in helping other people in the society solve issues.
