Some of these discoveries include electricity, antibiotics(Nwaka and others, 2003), gravity, Big Bang theory, and quantum theory. All of these discoveries have created an impact on society.One of the essential discoveries is on electricity. The article tends to outline the implications for power as a discovery in science to the community.

Electricity was the discovery by Benjamin Franklin in 1792. Power has created a very massive impact in the society.Various industries have been established due to this discovery. Industries such as manufacturing, processing, and service all are developed.  I addition, electricity also widened the gap of activity and business. People are no longer tied down to the working on daylight. Due to this discovery, the electrical lamp by Edison in 1879 was encouraged . pThis provided employment opportunities in the lighting industry. Electricity can now be used to cooking as opposed to the use of coal and firewoo.

Moreover, this has created an environmentally friendly environment. Hospitals have also benefitted in the invention of electricity (Popper and Karl,2005). Various equipment such as LASIK surgical equipment, PET and CT scanners, ultrasound and MRI machines. It has, in turn, saved cancer patients and other people’s lives. Electricity has enhanced man’s lifestyle to the point where life man has been enabled to fly. Transportation has thereby been made more comfortable and faster.Distances known to travel three hours has now shortened to forty-five minutes.Home appliances have also been invented to ease the chores. Equipment such as dishwashers, water heaters, ovens and microwaves

In conclusion, the scientific invention of electricity has created a lot of positive impacts than negative impacts.
