The Abu Dhabi Police Department complies with existing Occupational Safety and Health regulations. As recently as June 2014, it successfully graduated twenty-four students from a series of training courses that it conducted touching on various parameters, including environmental, health, and occupational safety (Vision, mission and values, n.d). Training sessions allow the police department to be highly equipped with the right personnel for emergency response.

Health and safety standards for the workplace surroundings indicate that the department adheres to the provisions of NFA 1500.The department designed the training session to sensitize the personnel working there about the importance of the environment and the need to comply with the health and safety standards (Vision, mission and values, n.d). The safety programs should comply with the OSHA regulations. They ensure that the employer provides workers with information and training about hazardous components, methods to prevent harm, and standard practices expected at the workplace (Angle, 2005).  The recent training shows that the police department is committed to adhere to the set health and safety regulations.

The NFA 1500 provides comprehensive training and evaluation of members and associates to fulfill safety requirements of fire emergency response. Compared to NFA 1500 provisions, the measures that the Abu Dhabi Police Department undertakes prove there is a close relationship. For example, the training that the authorities go through was designed to make the members appreciate the essence of a health and safety compliant workplace environment (Vision, mission and values, n.d). The emphasis the department laid in training for OSHA compliance enables that it adhere to the set safety and health standards.

Accordingly, the quality of the workforce at the police department compares favorably to NFA 1500 regulations. Moreover, those who graduated from the training initiative had to satisfy the board of examiners of their suitability and mastery of the training basics for them to be eventually graduated (Vision, mission and values, n.d). The Police Department is biased towards cultivating safe and healthy conditions of work for personnel involved in emergency response, which is in line with the NFA 1500 expectations.
