Technological advancement in the modern era has led to significant development in automotive industries across the globe. Unlike in the past where people’s choices for cars were limited to specific brands; the number of motor vehicle brands has since increased enabling people to choose cars that serve their needs. As a kid, I always envisioned myself owning a car in the future. I came to learn more about cars when my dad bought his first car (Toyota Camry 2000 model) in the year 2002, which became my best car at that time. However, growing up, my preference for cars changed from one vehicle to another. Being a fan of automotive vehicles, I have learned a lot about vehicles through TV shows such as TopGear, a British TV show that reviews recently launched cars. Rolls-Royce Wraith is one of the cars that has recently caught my attention due to its unique featuresone day like to own the car.

Rolls-Royce Wraith was launched successfully at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013 after streams of online teasers (Ireson, 2013). The fully handmade car became the breakthrough of the company due to its more advanced features than its predecessor (Rolls-Royce Phantom). At the launch, it was revealed that the vehicle’s V-12 engine that boosted 624 horsepower could achieve a speed of 0-60 mph within 4.4 seconds (Ireson, 2013).  According to Ireson (2013), the car’s V-12 engine incorporates a ZF eight-speed transmission capable of delivery 590-pound feet force to its wheels. Therefore, with such engine capability, I am convinced that the vehicle will achieve better performance in both on and off-road driving.

The design of the car is quite exquisite due to the materials used in its interior. In comparison with other luxury cars in the price range of Rolls-Royce Wraith, which retails at around $320,000- $350,000 in most online car dealers, the vehicle stands out due to the exotic materials used in its interior. For instance, its dashboard is made of rare woods with its seats made of pure soft leather. According to Thomsen (2015), the roof of the car is made of 1340 fibre optic encrypted with tiny diamonds that when lit up resembles the stars in the sky at night. The other interior features that make it unique are an electric sunroof, cooled/heated seats, theatre rear seat options, and Rolls-Royce branded umbrellas placed in the door cavities. Notably, the interior of Rolls-Royce Wraith defines the true nature of luxury and comfort.

In every car, safety is one of the concerns of every potential car buyer. Hence, concerning the security of Rolls-Royce Wraith, its manufactured did a splendid job in ensuring the safety of its passengers. The safety features of the car involve a navigation system that enables the driver to understand their geographical locations. The vehicle also boasts of advanced airbags system that placed on the front and sideways of every seat. The other safety elements of the car include brake assist, front and rear parking assists, traction control system, front seatbelts pretensioner, and blind spot and lane departure warning. The incorporation of such safety measures in the car makes it one of the safest vehicles in the world.

Rolls-Royce Wraith is a dream car to many people including myself. My interest in the car primarily relies on its comfort, safety, and engine performance, which makes it worth its price tag. The vehicle’s V-12 engine supports on and off-road driving, which is ideal for Kenyan roads. Secondly, the exotic materials utilized in designing its interior makes it a car of intent, purpose, and beauty. Finally, the safety measures of the vehicle make it user-friendly for people of all age groups: from children to senior citizens.
