Rhetorical analysis is one of the best methods used in the movie to create a vivid picture of how the events in the story unfold. In the case, in the story, the rhetor attempts to persuade the audience by making them feel certain emotions. A mixture of emotions is very evident here when we see the newborn who is to take over the succession throne has a curse placed upon him over jealousy. This has sparked heavy emotions captured by the author so that the audience can show sympathy on the newborn and bitterness against Maleficent who was initially admired of her young and beautiful nature full of energy. It was initially depicted out that she was to help positively in the kingdom which made the audience so optimistic with her presence there. Sad emotions, therefore, clouds the hearts of the audience and the child has the spell that is placed on her yet with a lot of innocence she is born to take over the throne. However, as the author creates the story, there comes a bunch of mixed reaction from the audience as they are again swayed to have fear for the child. The child has come up aggressively to fight against anyone trying to harm her and deter her from prosperity. The audiences’ attention once more is taken from the spell and fight by the child in recovering her glory against period to the anger that rages within the kingdom. As a father, the king is trying to protect his child and so becomes very angry towards Maleficent because of the spell she has placed of his daughter. Maleficent on the other side is also angry and may be so bitter with the king because he stole her wings in a rape drama that is brought to picture the for the audience to have a picture and justify the anger that rages in her.

The love is brought to the picture where the audience is made to sympathize with the little Mermaidwhen she finds a price and falls in love with against the wish of the father. This is creating a connection with human beings which is not supposed to be designed according to the rhetor. There is an intrinsic ethos here by the rhetor when the audience feels pity for the little Mermaid on how much she has to do to be with her new love. There are logos depicted in the story where she falls in love and has to do something about it. A deal has to be made to be with the human prince. She makes a deal with sea witch Ursula, but this is a bad deal as the audience knows it would have repercussion. The rhetor attempts to persuade the audience to fell the plight of Little Merdain who madly falls in love. The audience expects that the Little Merdain should be left to feel the love and be happy yet her situation is not allowing her. Here we see her bound by the tradition and rules that do not give her opportunity to be able to make her own choices and to be free to visit the surface since she is within a kingdom where that is counted as a breach of tradition. The audience finds the expertise of the author very exemplary in the way the pictures are brought to the scene as very incredible as the emotions and well incorporated in bring the story to life.

Another picture shows where a boy classified by the social strata to belong in the lower class is saving a genie. This is kind heart and love that is demonstrated by Aladdin the boy to the genie, but there comes a twist in the scene where genie has a new demand. The author explicitly uses logos in this episode alongside pathos where the freedom aspect comes in. The original request from genie is to have freedom which we are aware that would give power to the genie. In other words, the genie is looking for control. Ethically it would be realistic for the kind-hearted Aladdin to grant that, but the audience is persuaded to see the logical nature of the request made by Genie and would be attempted to allow it to him as he asked. The much funny aspect shown here is the request made to just a wish-granting character knowing precisely the set up it which the story id build. Pity is shown here by the rhetor coming from the humble people to others who they see as a need and should be helped. Ironically the people in a position to grant the freedom and which would translate to power and free will life set up has shown reserved nature and taken away the free will from its people.  The audience is made to see another bubbling but the unrevealed character of genie, the desire to be free. This makes the audience pity him over what he wants vis-a-vis what he has been going through each passing day and how caged he has been in his life before.

The rhetor tells the audience of the love tale that is filled with mixed reaction and feelings from the audience when we see couples in love being depicted as not happy but filled with quarrel and instability in their stay together. They are resorting to divorce which is making the audience filled with fear over the struggle over the innocent child asleep and the fate. On the other hand pity clouds the hearts of the audience over the divorce of the couple. It is however not pleasant to the audience as the evil stepmother plants the separation. This brings anger in the hearts of the audience as we see a stepmother who doesn’t mean the free will of choice of love to the price and the princess. The, however, does not say well to the prince in his marriage. The family is now seen getting torn apart as the stepmother to Giselle. The anger that grows in the hearts of the audience is due to desire to know how the young couple picks up and makes it in a glamorous way, but that is cut short by the way the stepmother had altered everything to be. Giselle has to put up with the current situation of everything as she has little to do about it. We Robert trying to emphasize all the negative sides of Giselle which depicts her as the bad on yet the audience understands the situation she is in and is filled with fury.
