The residency experience has increased my motivation to pursue a doctoral education. With the advancement here, I want to be a scholarly leader who is well informed not only in the education field but also in other fields. The main aim of the meetings was to be acquainted with the course programs and the expected outcomes associated with a doctoral degree. To someone unfamiliar with the pursuing of a doctoral education, I would have to explain everything in full details. It would have to be a step by step explanation of the goals and objectives of the specific doctoral education. I would explain what is involved and the responsibilities bestowed on a doctoral student especially in Walden University and how the university helps one to achieve his/her goals. The three distinguishing behaviors and practices of a doctoral student that I can identify and relate to my development include attending all residencies to understand the behaviors and competencies of the doctoral professionals, understand the academic objectives, knowledge and skills associated with doctoral education and access to an advisor who is ready to advice me on how to meet my objectives.

1. To ensure responsibility for my own education, I will ensure I attend all the residency sessions, demonstrate critical thinking, behave like a scholar and also learn how to develop an objective from an analysis of any research done. 2. Certainly I will need academic guidance from professionals. Undertaking a doctoral education is not simple but with guidance the process will be simpler. In addition, I will have to be a steward of education mainly by enhancing all my needs to survive.
