In my research paper, I am interested in writing about the behaviorism theory. My research paper will focus on the conspiracy aspect of behaviorism theory that was postulated by Ivan Pavlov in which he argued that the behavior of the dogs to salivate before being food was conditioning behavior that was reinforced by the stimulus of the bell ringing rather than their gastric functions. I believe that Pavlov’s experiment best explains how environmental stimuli influences not only the behaviors of animals but also those of individuals hence, my research paper will be in support of the theory. Specifically, my research paper will focus on relating the Pavlov’s experiment on the differences witnessed in behaviors portrayed by students in the modern learning environment. The Ivan Pavlov conspiracy theory on the behavior of dogs to salivate before being given food is of much interest to me because I find it helpful and relevant in understanding the cognitive, mental, and emotional aspects of individuals and how the environmental stimuli influence them.
At the moment, I believe that Pavlov’s conspiracy theory significantly relates to the assumptions of the behaviorism theory. Behaviorism as a learning theory which is based on the idea that all behaviors portrayed by an individual are acquired through interaction between the person and his/her environment, a process known as conditioning. I also understand that the interaction between individuals and their environment occurs in two ways; either through classical conditioning or behavioral conditioning. Under behavioral conditioning, behaviorists state that an individual’s behavioral response to a given stimulus depends on whether the practice is reinforced or punished just as discovered by Pavlov in his conspiracy theory. In conclusion, therefore, I believe that my research paper will be able to defend Ivan Pavlov’s conspiracy theory on the influence of environmental stimuli on individuals’ behaviors and actions.
