Over the years, I have perfected my skills in the world of medicine with great effort and a lot of determination, working tirelessly to ensure that I utilize my knowledge and expertise for the betterment of my patients. Since I first started learning about nursing, I have always had the motivation to work my way up until I attain a recognized status of a professional Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, which I can only achieve by pursuing a graduate degree in psychiatry. Some of my professional credentials include; Basic Life Support Certification, Current license in the State of GA and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

By pursuing this degree, I have set a purpose which is to gain the required knowledge necessary to attain my goal, which is to be able to teach orders and influence the quality of patient care and gain self-sufficiency in my career. I am positive that after attaining a graduate degree in psychiatry, it will boost my career and enable me to be an independent individual with necessary skills and capabilities to give a supreme performance in my line of work.

Having spent years and years as a nurse, I have gained extensive experience in providing care to psychiatric and med-surgical inpatients in hospital settings. I have worked in with doctors, nurse practitioners and other physicians; hence, I have gained resourceful problem-solving capabilities of implementing solutions to complex problems, also remaining calm and professional throughout crisis interventions. Moreover, based on care provided, I was a recipient of Daisy Award nominated by patients.

Being a nurse has taught me to respect and treat patients with respect and with the care they need. Hence, I believe that all the things mentioned above should brand me eligible to pursue a graduate degree in psychiatry and attain my goal of becoming a mental health nurse practitioner.
