I mentioned that the non-profit organizations should target the middle income earners and small businesses. This does not mean that they should quit targeting the large businesses. It means that they should target both.  It is common for such organizations to target the big businesses and corporations for funds. However, the middle income earners and small businesses can also be of help with the little they have. They are an alternative if the large business disappoints.  The non-profit organizations should target both the large and small organizations. The larger businesses can provide a large amount of funds but the small amounts from the small business can also add up to be considerably large.

Hi Donavan, great line of thought there. I think the “unthinkable “alternative is much better as compared to the others. The creative and obvious alternatives are not unique and any non-profit organization can use those techniques. However, for the unthinkable alternative, it involves something coming up with a unique legal strategy. A departure from what is commonly done is usually very refreshing and if the non-profit organizations get used to such methods, they would never lack funds. In this century, creativity is an important aspect not only with the profit oriented organizations but also with the non-profit organizations. The nonprofit organizations should be creative in coming up with ways to acquire funds for noble causes.

Hi Celestine, great thinking there. Creating a campaign with a noble vision can be very compelling especially when communicated through the mass and social media. With the availability of the internet, campaign ads can reach as many people as possible all over the world. Rather than just targeting larger businesses directly, a non-profit organization can also target he whole world by use of campaigns. Cancer is the most lethal killer disease in the world and anybody would be willing to fund a course that might lead to the discovery of its cure. In addition, such campaigns have been proven to be helpful and are always used by organizations all over the world.
