Medication Name and Strength
The medication name is Metoprolol Tartrate. It is for treating hypertension. The drug is a beta blocker that acts by blocking neurotransmitters such as epinephrine thereby lowering heart rate/blood pressure. The drug is available in different strengths in which extended-release tablet occur in doses of 25, 50, 100 and 200 mg. The side effect of the medication includes drowsiness, tiredness, diarrhea, and dizziness. A slow heartbeat may be possible. Directions
The medication should be taken orally with or right after a meal. Intake should be on a regular basis get excellent results.
