Description: The music festival features over 200 artists, bands, dancers and craftspeople; visual art exhibitors; live concerts;  it includes a full schedule of performance arts, ranging from song, opera, dance, spoken word, poetry, instrumentals;  it is a full family events; an array of local and international cuisines and beverage options available for purchase throughout the site.

Concept

The 2019 Lakers Music Festival, marks the 4th annual commemoration of the most exciting three days Music & Arts Festival held in Lakers, Lakers County.  Our company is proposed to seek your consideration to host the Music Festival. Lakers Music Festival is to take place outdoors at Lakers city on Friday, April 26-28, 2019.  As Landscape Event Organizers, we anticipate appropriate utilization of the area available at the municipal parking lot. We plan to maximize the space to include an outdoor stage with a folding roof for easy construction. Landscape events seek to add a creative dimension to the standards of music, performance, and creative arts festivals (Sharon, 2011). We aim at enhancing the experience and value of music festivals to visitors, to provide them with a special memory of the Lakers Festival. Our company guarantees that the festival will be exceptional, other cultural elements such as food, and visual arts will be included to make the location more spectacular.

As mentioned above, the live daytime musical events begin at 10 am to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. The exhibition closes on Sunday with music starting at 11 am and ending no later than 7 p.m. Currently, Landscape event organizers are up and down securing major talents across the county, and country. We are happy to relay that the majority of the operational components are almost complete. On Thursday 14, 2019 we shall commence the development of a comprehensive marketing plan. We are hoping to feature a combination of local and national musicians, dancers, dance groups, spoken word speakers, vocalists, instrumentalists, poets, local DJs, and one international artist (Perez, Lopez, Gomez & Juan, 2017). Landscape events will make the boring municipal parking lot into an outdoor weekend party of music and dance.

Event Manager David Krishna from the Landscape events and Mary Braidwood, the Dean of College of music and arts, have partnered in several instances to develop world-class music and arts festivals. As such, their experience is unmatched.

David specializes in event organizing, production and design. He has over 15 years of experience working with different companies and organizations in Lakers and other counties across the state. Apart from serving as the Dean of College, Mary Braidwood is a legendary musician, vocalist, and songwriter. She has been an icon in the music industry for over 20 years, and due to her connection and knowledge on music and musical events, she comes in handy in making the festival all about music and its glory. Landscape events are keen on details, as such the work on one project to completion. Therefore, we dedicate each day to carry out activities that will assist in developing the finest and safest multi-days musical and arts festival ever held in Lakers County. Tickets are available at the municipal county office and on the online website. The event is open to the general public from with the county, and region beyond (Mallette & Blum, 2018). Landscape events are also keen on the application of ethics and standard procedures, we have developed strategic partnerships with local organizations, contractors, vendors, and businesses, to help in organizing and participating in the event. The locals of Laker County are an integral part of the festival. Lakers music festival seeks to connect the community to its neighbors through sharing culture and musical experience.

Festival Objectives

Landscape events objectives for the 4th annual Lakers music festival include;

• Creation of professionally organized events with memorable musical and art experience.
• Establishment of a unique celebration that fits world-class standards of celebrations.
• Promote positive marketing of Lakers to the world using its music and culture.
• Ensure adequate security and safety within the festival location before and during the event.
• Maintain ethical standards and procedure stipulated by the local government and community.
• Ensuring no alcohol sales after sunset and on Sunday to enable safe return and responsible driving for people going home and visitors moving to other regions.

Event Format

Admissions are available at $ 6 for Adults, for children of 18 years and below the entry is free. The $ 6 charge includes payment for the main concert and local performances. However, food tasting coupons are available at $ 20 for adults and $ 10 for children of 18 years and below. The tent and stage set up will commence on Wednesday 24th April, and clean will start Monday morning following the end of the concert.

• The date set, the event cancellation is impossible except in the event of a national disaster.
• Independent contractors are required to carry their workers’ compensation. However, as Landscape Events we shall secure the event insurance.
• Vendors can only sell alcohol using licensed beverage dispenser and ensure they have alcohol liability insurance.

Local and State Economic Impact

The Lakers Music Festival would have a definite local financial impact. It will generate income and revenue for local food caters, electricians, local contractors, carpenters, police, fire control, insurance coverages, professional, rental equipment and vehicle providers. Landscape events plan to partner with local hotels and B &B service to secure rooms and accommodation services for travelers from distant towns and states. Landscape event will also benefit the non-profit organizations involved in the festival by offering paid temporary employment and charity beneficiaries. Apart from local contractors, the festival will provide temporary job opportunities for 80 people. The cultural benefits for this project, include exposing Lakers County musical and cultural heritage to the world. It will boost tourism efforts by the county (Carvalho, Ferreira & Luis, 2016). The Lakers musical event allows interaction and communication between individuals of different cultural origins such as the local and neighbors from other regions and countries.

Security & Safety

Landscape events ensure adequate protection and safety of its visitors.  The public field will host security systems such as temporary fences, generated lighting, and radios. Landscape events have also partnered with local security agents such as Police, and private security firms for 24-hour protection begin from Wednesday to Sunday. From Friday to Sunday, Landscape events has requested the police to keep guard at the main entrance and to direct traffic along the area. Security staff will man the entrance and exit gates to allow free follow of vendors and citizens (Sibille, 2016). Apart from the 20 security staff have been employed to guard the event, there 18 more monitor and ushering citizens to the festival. Landscape Events has also acquired a noise permit for the concert events held in the three nights of the festival.

Cost Estimates

Landscape events are required to maintain insurance, liability, security and financial holds that are harmless to the Laker County Municipality. Although the municipal office is a third party under the event insurance, it is not liable to damages that may occur from non-compliance with the license arrangement. Landscape events are required to cover the following cost before the commencement of work

• Workers Compensation: Legislative Requirements.
• State Disability: Statutory Requirement.
• Automobile liability: $1,500,000.
• General liability: $2,000,000.

The municipality also requires the contractors to not found in Laker County to produce their Business Certificates before commencing work at the event.
