Part 1: The group chose obesity to be the topic of discussion. The topic of obesity was suitable due to the interest that each one of us has in the subject. In this journal we will expound on the various research that expound on the effects of obesity. Every member of the group will be given a role which they must perform. The group leader will ensure that every member contributes to the group.

Part 2: The main focus of proposals is to define problems and their solutions. This they do through proposing persuasive plans of action that influence readers into believing they should be implemented. The proposal is to sensitize people on the issue of obesity and to show the prevalence of the same. In addition, the health effects will be looked into.

In writing a report, one is able to identify a need in society that they can research on in their project. The reason is because report writing focuses on the subject matter as opposed to the experiences and perceptions of the writer.

Neither of the two reports will be useful in my field of biochemistry. The two reports are mainly on psychology and the patterns of human demographics regarding immigrants. The reports do not, therefore, provide any useful information that relates to my field. However, the layout of the facts and statistics can be useful in helping our proposal achieve the same outline. In particular, the necessary fields can be extrapolated from the report.

Our report will require information on the causes of obesity and the prevalence of these illnesses. In addition, the ratio of obese males to obese females will also be studied and data on the health effects of obesity analyzed. A relationship between obesity and the health effects will then be tested hypothetically to see if there is any correlation.

Part 3: As the group editor I have the challenge of proofreading through the entire work and to ensure that the final proposal is perfect. The group will be looking up to me to identify and correct any errors in the report. Moreover, I’ll be in charge of writing the introduction including statistics on obesity. I have edited for other students before and I have the requisite experience to ensure that our final proposal is error-free. Academic journals, publications and books will be very useful reference points in data acquisition for the proposal. Moreover, the material will help in supporting our arguments in the group.
