Global warming

Several things will have a direct or indirect impact on my life in the future. One of such matters is climate change that occurs due to the variations in weather patterns. First, it can cause adverse effects on my existence because of extreme climatic conditions such as earthquakes, floods and forest fires. As a result, these impacts can displace me from my original habitat to other areas. Secondly, climate change can lead to the spread of infectious diseases such as typhoid, cholera and dysentery(KY, 2017). It can have both direct and secondary impacts on my life. These illnesses can pose a significant risk to my existence. It is because i may end up losing my life because of these threats. Global warming can also result in a decrease in rainfall amounts experienced annually. The trend is risky as it might expose my family and me to starvation in future. The cases of malnutrition will make life uncomfortable because of hunger. Additionally, food prices might increase drastically. One of the consequences of this situation is that I may have many spend a lot of money on food if global warming continues.

Moreover, global warming can interrupt peace as people will be scrambling for the few available resources. Some of these things include water which is essential for human life. This will be caused by the drying water sources such as rivers and wells. Thus, it will force me to travel for long distances to search for this precious commodity. It can also be a threat to my life as people will be fighting for survival. Therefore, it means that even my personal property will be at risk. Many individuals rarely obey the law when they face hunger and starvation.

Furthermore, the effects of climate change can also render me jobless(MacKenzie, 2012). Thirty years from now, I will be an old person depending on agriculture as my primary source of earnings. This impact can also indirectly affect me since my dependents may suffer from the loss of income. Besides, the changing weather patterns might result in other additional consequences. First, i will suffer from stress and depression seeing some of my immediate friends or relatives dying because of the effects of climate change. Finally, global warming can decrease my productivity since I will not be able to work well. This is because of the several interruptions that are caused by these events.

Population Growth

The population of people across the world is expected to increase with time. This growth might have both direct and indirect consequences in my life in the next 30 years.One of the challenges I am likely to witness is the low food supplies in the market. It will be caused by the high demand for food that will surpass its availability. Besides, population increase will adversely affect my capability to access better health care in the future. It is because of the high number of individuals who might be seeking medical services at that time.  The increase in the number of people can lead to the rising cases of unemployment among the general public. As a result, it might lead to insecurity which might discourage me from investing.

Additionally,the high number of people will harm my health. Therefore, there are high chances that I might suffer from deadly diseases such as heart attack and cancer. These ailments may be as a result of land, water and air pollution (Zhu & Xing, 2005). Land contamination is likely to occur because of the application of pesticides on the soil. On the other hand, water effluence may be caused by releasing harmful chemicals and sewage to water sources. Lastly, air pollution will happen because of the emission of gases from factories.

Population pressure can also lower my standards of living in the future. I am likely to experience high inflation rates in the next thirty years. Thus, the prices of essential commodities such as food will increase. Therefore, I may struggle financially to get some of the products and services which I will need to sustain my life. It is because of the rise of inflation levels that are likely to affect different parts of the globe. One of the causes of this problem is the high government borrowing to fund its infrastructural projects. Taxpayers must pay these loans by increasing the prices of goods and services.

Moreover, the state might also find it hard to implement some of its development projects. Some of these infrastructures comprise of road, health facilities and schools. This will affect me directly as I will miss some of the essential amenities. Also, it will affect me indirectly as my family members may not benefit from these projects and services. Moreover, the increase in the number of people may influence me to be innovative to survive in the future. In this case, I will have to develop strategies to deal with my challenges. For example, I will embrace water harvesting to deal with the problem of water shortage in the future.
