Introduction
The paper covers the positive effects of globalization on nationalism. Globalization is developing interdependence of the world’s markets, populations, and cultures which has been led by the marketing between border countries and also the neighboringcountries of services and goods, information, investment as well as people and technology. On the other hand, nationalism is a belief based on the individual’s allegiance and commitment to the nation and outshines other individual or assemblage welfares. The greater promoter of globalization between countries is due to the removal of trade blocks, reduced costs for exports and imports, and reduced taxations on products and trade policies. Globalization has got many positive impacts on the nationalism as discussed in this work.
Positive Impacts of Globalization on Nationalism
Production of More Goods at Cheap Price
Globalization has made manufacturing more useful since it motivates every nation to practice specialization. This is where the country produces what it is best on leaving out what they can’t produce best for the other countries to produce (Antonsich, 2015). Through specialization, the state ends up using a little number of resources in the production process. This leads to products being sold at low prices making the products more affordable by low-income earners .specialization also contributes to the development of the economy of a country(Antonsich, 2015). Specialization is of the great importance to the residents since if a country practices specialization it means that the products it produces it is of high quality hence an advantage to the citizen. A country practicing specialty saves a lot of time creating what is of high sound quality than when it does not practice specialization.
Creation of Job Opportunities
Globalization has been one of the most significant sourcesof jobs to many people worldwide today for people who venture in businesses to get their daily bread. This people considerably earn from economic growth and this is one of the positive impacts of globalization in our world today ((Turner, & Holton, 2015). Since countries practice specialization, specialists in different fields have been employed in manufacturing, processing industries and also firms and this one of the sources of employment (Vasilopoulou, &Halikiopoulou, 2015). Also, new technology has led to the creation of new products that are more advanced and as a result, most people being employed to operate computers and even other communication gadgets that are involved in online marketing (Sánchez, &Noblit, 2016). Real suppliers and transporters have been able to secure jobs to ensure that goods and services reach the consumer at different parts of the world at the right time and in good condition. These are some of the areas that indicate that globalization is a source of job opportunities to many people across the world
Technological Progress
Globalization has led to the development of the technology which has led to the enlargement of the country’s economy and creation of better paying job vacancies like the creation of more online jobs where many citizens have benefitted with (Turner, & Holton, 2015). Globalization has also led to the nature of the industries which were not there before hence making the unemployed people benefit from different jobs(Roach, 2017). Globalization has also l made communication easier through technology whereby people can communicate even when they are very far from each other. This has been facilitated by the availability of social media like Facebook, what Sapp, twitter, telegram as well as the instagram (Roach, 2017). Globalization has also led to the improvement of the technology in sectors like transport whereby transport has been made easier through the creation of transport means like railways, air and even the means by the road. Secure carriers facilitate good trade between trading countries through easy transportation of goods and services.
Tool for Peace and Prosperity
After the Second World War, United Nations contributed a lot in building global economic order by creating rules that were acceptable by all countries worldwide and supervised by the multilateral associations. The main aim of the comprehensive commercial law is to create a better world to the countries willing to cooperate hence promoting peace and prosperity (Baylis et al. 2017). Free trade market that was out of trade blocks, high customs duties and taxes on imports and exports was hence created enhancing the prevention of economic quarrels from spreading greater conflicts among the countries. As a result, many countries in the world have strong unions like the African Union and the European Union which have led to cooperations among the nations promoting peace(Baylis et al. 2017). Prosperity has been influenced by the fact that the states trade freely allowing many countries to specialize in what they are useful in, promoting high standards of living. High conflicts that were experienced before globalization like terrorism, world wars have been significantly reduced by high percentages.
Creation of Competitive Market
Globalization has brought about competition between the trading countries whereby countries trading together competes on the production of the various goods and services. This competition brings about the creation of a high-quality product which is of significant advantage to the consumers(Croucher, 2018). The game also makes the consumers have more choice and preferences on the high-quality products produced. Competition between trading countries forms supply chains that lead to the production of the more effective goods and services hence making them more affordable within their exchange blocks. The completion among the trading countries also leads to improved economic development of a country (Croucher, 2018). Whereby the state has full employment that is almost all the residents of the state are employed, price stability is another factor that indicates developed economic growth and also the external balance of a country(Vasilopoulou, &Halikiopoulou, 2015). Globalization has also led to the completion among trading nations which has improved the country’s performance in terms of trade.
Innovation
Globalization has led to a change in the different countries whereby countries are now in a better position to apply their creativity in different ways. They have become more innovative in matters like settling the disputes between themselves by coming up with the best solutions in solving out their disputes(Adamson, 2016). People have also been innovative in trade sector whereby they can identify the market needs that exist while trading and make sure that the consumers demand are fully satisfied by bringing the goods and services that they require (Adamson, 2016). Globalization has made people in a countryinnovative whereby they have great imagination and thoughts concerning their daily life and experiences, and also they can come up with great market ideas.
Higher Quality Goods and Efficient Services
Globalization is the critical factor to the production of high-quality goods as a result of specialization, whereby the country produces efficient goods.Specialization enables a state to create more competitive soundsdue to perfection in one product as they await the other county to provide what is best on, as opposed earlier days whereby a country delivered all goods that it required(Colantone, & Stanig, 2018). The state then exports their produce and imports what is unable to produce. Through globalization communications services are made ease hence online marketing which takes a short time over a vast geographical region and efficient transport services.
Reduced Poverty among Countries
Most small states in the world achieved economic stability after globalization. Their per capita revenue rose, substantial processes such as technological levels and industrial sectors furnished these areas with better business approaches (Colantone, & Stanig, 2018). The areas include China, Africa, and India. These areas currently are experiencing higher standards of living due to marketing brought by globalization.
Lower Cost Of Living
Real consumers are currently not exploited due to globalization. Due to the availability of goods and the services that are similar in different countries, competition has increased leading to decreased prices(Chernilo, 2017). This is because each state wants to sell its products and hence they try to reduce the costs so that they can get customers.
High Living Standards
Many people in the world secured jobs through globalization and as a result of their living standards automatically positively changed. Many people are self-employed in different economic sectors today (Chernilo, 2017). These sectors mostly involve marketing jobs through which their past living status has been positively changed as they get huge earnings from the same hence increasing their living standards.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it’s openly outstanding that globalization has got many positive impacts on nationalism in our today’s life and hence it should be practiced widely in all states and the policies outlaid should be followed with no questioning for bettering our tomorrows’ life. Globalization has created many opportunities for the natives and investors, which has boosted the economy of most countries. The introduction of new methods of earning livelihoods has boosted the lives of the natives, which has reduced the poverty levels and raised the standards of living.
