Q1. The two colonies had no similarities. The New England colonists were Puritans who resided in self-governing agriculturally oriented communities. These colonists were after religious freedom in the Americas. Their devotion was based on religious families founded on a society with a religious background. Thus, New England did not experience anything to do with the witch power scares and rebellion. Likewise, Chesapeake went to the Americas for gold and silver search as well as anything that would offer a profit. Religion was less also in the colony thus explaining why Chesapeake had Bacon’s Rebellion with no witchcraft as well.

Q4. The war made the British to be more active in both subject political and economic matters. The British wanted the debt of winning over the French to be paid by the American colonies with taxes. They introduced levying of taxes and imposing of regulations unfairly in their territories. This facilitated resentment by the settlements on the British charges. Later on, the colonists rebelled and boycotted the taxes. Thus, this altered the relationship between the British and its colonies.
