In healthcare, both independent and dependent variables help the researcher to make observations and arrive at the best final decisions. The main role of the variables is to help in making project observations. To do so effectively, both independent and dependentvariables are used to test the application and the factors that are being tested. In my evidence-based practice, my evolution focuses on the impact of nurse shortage on healthcare outcomes (Flick,12). As a result, the project focuses on methods that nurse shortage can be reduced through considering these variables. Some of the proposed solutions include increased staffing and training of healthcare practitioners. In this project, independent variables on the individual needs constructed by the researcher some of the potential general variables predicted within the study include; the ages, the gender, and the staffing procedures that the research studies conducted. Independent variables are the different ages of the nurses who are retiring from jobs because they cannot control the urge. The other independent variable includes the gender differences that exist in the nursing industry. The gender of the people employed as nurses or health care practitioners cannot be changed. It has a massive influence on the people attended to, and it contributes to the shortage of nurses. Some of the most significant dependent variables include shortages that can be addressed by the people who are in charge of the nurses. The others include the patient outcome and last training. These are variables that can be controlled and can be used to address the problem that has been used in the evidence-based practice used in this project. Both dependent and independent variables will have to be collected throughout this project so that the researcher can address them to solve the problem identified in this evidence-based practice. The reason why these variables have to be collected is that they will show the potentials of solving the existing problem.
