Introduction
Models are essential in any organization; they enhance the decision-making process which helps in reaching the desired goal of an organization. In economics, social and cultural contexts, models form a substantial part of the business strategy. In theory and practice, models are widely used to represent the aspect of an organization. Models are essential because they lead to continuous improvement in an organization, here, they enhance innovations and ensures that everything goes per its designated order. This review, therefore, focuses on the education model of math and science at Palm Beach state college.
Objectives of the model.
Steps in the model
The model designed help to increase the competency levels of students in the Palm Beach school. There are various steps in the model, all of them are discussed below.
1st step: Evaluation of the educational facility’s academic curriculum in math and science.
This is the first step in the model, here, evaluation is done to determine the students’performance in the selected subjects, i.e., math and science. By focusing on this, one can determine how to help the students in developing competency on the units chosen. The reason why the model focus on these subjects is due to the poor performance in the school. Despite the two subjects having the best career opportunities in the market, students are struggling to have a good performance in math and science. According to the Caffarella model, proper planning in the workplace can lead to developed training in the workplace (Neacsu, 2015). In our case, evaluating student performance will help in determining the reason for the poor performance in math and science.
2nd step: Research and Development.
This is the 2nd step in the model, here, more research is done about the math and science performance outcomes in the school.In this step, scholarly articles and websites are referred to better understand why many students fail in math and sciences in schools. Through this literature review, we can understand the reasons for poor performance in a better way. This stage is one of the most crucial in the model because it involves ideas developed by other academicians concerning the issue of poor performance in math and science inschools. By better understanding the knowledge from other scholars, we can come up with the correct intervention strategiesin addressing the situation.
3rd step: Implementation ofa new policy.
In this step, new intervention strategies are put in place to help end the problem of poor performances in math and science. This can also be referred to as the application stage, in this phase, the new interventionstrategiesare put in place to ensure that the model works.Various approaches are put in place in this step; the tutors are trained. This equips them with the knowledge that they impart to their students. The lecturers can receive training for five months. The students will also be taught about the new culture that helps them to face these two subjects’, i.e.math and science with confidence. According to the survey done, it was evident that only 30% of the students in schools concentration in math and science is 30% (Southward, 2013). This,therefore, reveals that a lot of work needs to be done on these two subjects. Implementation of the new strategies will help to reduce the poor performance of math and science in Palm Beachstate college.
4th step: Evaluation of the impacts of new knowledge in student performance and competency level.
This is the final stage in the model, after imparting the new intervention strategies to the math and science curriculum, there is a need to check on the outcome. Is the students’ performance increasing? Do they develop a positivity towards the subject? All these are reviewed in the evaluation stage. This phase helps in understanding the impacts of the new knowledge to students in Palm Beach state college.

Evaluation of the model.
As part of the planning process, evaluation of the model is essential so that to understand better whether it will support the planned improvement in math and science. Here,I first check on the traditional organization models; is the model designed as those other conventional models.The other method of evaluation is monitoring the reports in other subjects. Here, I compared other subjects’models to understand better whether my model will work. I also revised the model basing on the students and teachers expectations. The model is designed in a way that I can be adjusted in case of different demands. The model designed is an example of how a model can be created, developed, implemented and evaluated within one place.
