Cirque Du Soleil is a Canadian entertainment company that specializes in the production of acting, acrobatic and circuses plays across the world. Cirque Du Soleil’s performers are known to be the best when presenting their plays because of their almost zero error margins during these shows. The success and reputation of Cirque Du Soleil accrue from the high level of coordination, professionalism, and seriousness that the management portrays when recruiting, training, and selecting its actors. Just like shown in the video, the recruiting process is often rigorous coupled with extreme resilience and hard work among its artists who are driven with one objective; to be the best and give the audience a thrilling experience.
In my opinion, I find the recruitment process to be very engaging coupled with a high degree of professionalism. I also believe that the selection process is not only fair but also dependent on the level of experience and uniqueness of each applicant. The recruitment process includes scouting of the best talents from top competitions and across different fields including singing, dance, gymnastics, acrobatics, and acting. It also contains auditions and interview where the company gets to choose the best from the shortlisted candidates. Lastly, the recruitment process also entails a four-month training where those selected are by the firm’s professional trainers, and further elimination is undertaken. The company uses two recruitment process. The first method involves the company’s scouts going out and selecting talented individuals from different shows. The second method is when applicants are allowed to send videos showcasing different roles and talents they can perform.
I have managed to learn a lot from the video concerning the recruitment process and what it entails. I have learned that to stay on top of other competitors, one must always select the best team who possess the required skills to steer the company to achieve its objectives. From this video, I have also learned that training is an essential part of recruiting process as it helps new employees to determine what the firm expects from them and get to understand the company’s objectives and goals.
