He notes the popularity of phones by reminding that there are more people who own and use cellphones than any other electronic gadget in the world. The cellphones emit radio frequencies that would otherwise damage the brain. The author further explains how the disturbance of brain activity would lead to a Child’s impaired learning ability and affect his behavioral changes. He even formulates a correlation between brain cancer and cellphones. Other effects he has mentioned which come as a result of unhealthy dependence on cellphones are higher interpersonal anxiety, depressive symptoms and lowered self-esteem. As much as he believes that research on the effects of long term exposure to phones be conducted again, he is adamant that the use of phones is no longer safe.
