Mary Immaculate Hospital is one of the hospitals that I plan to volunteer which is located at Newport News, VA. Mary Immaculate Hospital is a licensed hospital by the state of Virginia and serves more than 450,000 residents in several counties including York, James and Williamsburg, Poquoson, Newport News, Hampton and Gloucester counties (Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital | Hampton Roads, VA | Bon Secours Health System, n.d.). The facility’s mission is to bring out compassion to the healthcare industry as well as become an essential help to all those individuals in need especially the dying and the poor. The hospital conducts surveys severally to evaluate if the facility is performing as per its broad mission.  The assessment survey is always geared toward the facility service area. The hospital purpose is to help in bringing the community band individuals to wholeness and health referring it to be part of the healing ministry of the Catholic Church and Jesus Christ. The facility is always committed to serving the community with personalized and exceptional care.

Since my intention is to volunteer to the family care medicine, the contact person will be the Family medicine doctor by the name Dr Mohammed Ashrafuddin Amer M.D, Phone number 757-232-8769 and email drmohammedamer@gmail.com. The facility requires that I complete and pass a required background check, complete all their immunization needed including Varicella, MMR, and TB test, and lastly fill the required volunteer forms. I will have to go for the background check and also obtain the volunteer form to fill before commencing my volunteer experience.

After completing this volunteer experience, I will be able to precisely shine on my resume, be able to provide better care to family bases issues, and will be able to give my time and energy to care for patients willingly.

In case I fail to get a chance at, Mary Immaculate Hospital I would like to volunteer at Sentara CarePlex Hospital which is located at Hampton, VA (Sentara CarePlex Hospital | Sentara Healthcare,n.d.).Sentara CarePlex Hospital is a committed facility to improve health every day as depicted in its mission statement. The facility is geared towards becoming the choice of the entire community it serves. The facility is further committed to keeping the community members safe all the time. Additionally, the facility is also aimed at treating all their patients with compassion, respect and dignity. The facility is also purposed to listening and responding to every enquiry that they receive from either patients or potential patients. Lastly, the facility is geared towards keeping all community members informed and involved as well as working closely as a team to be able to provide quality healthcare.

I precisely intent to volunteer at the family medicine department hence the contact person will be the family medicine doctor; Dr Robin Anderson MD, phone number 757-318-6900 and Email drroninanderson32@gmail.com.The facility requires that I complete and pass a required background check, complete all their required immunization including Varicella, MMR, and TB test, go for CPR and lastly fill the required volunteer forms. I will have to go for CPR then the background check and lastly obtain the volunteer form at the facility before commencing my volunteer experience.

After completing this volunteer experience, I will be able to precisely shine on my resume, be able to provide better care to family bases issues, and will be able to give my time and energy to care for patients willingly.
