The article Forget the Past? Or History Matters? Selected Academic Perspectives on the Strategic Value of Organizational Pasts by Paul C. Lasewicz sheds more light on the importance of corporate archives. The article explains that there is axiomatic evidence that shows that a functional archive is instrumental in propelling the growth of an organization.  Not only are archives of strategic values, but they also signify organizational awareness of events and anniversaries. The subjective interpretation and application of archival records are not illegitimate (Lasewicz, 72). On the contrary, it ought to be treated as malleable implying that it is open for both reviews and revisions. The broad nature of corporate history means that it can be interpreted to meet the organizational objectives and visions.
