I intend to pursue a degree in Aerospace engineering, and I believe my undergraduate degree in computer technology and Mathematics at Texas Tech University will offer me a good background education to study this course. I have developed a particular interest in mechanical engineering especially in areas concerning aerodynamics and finite element methods, and I intend to pursue them after I graduate from my studying my college degree in Computer technology. The flight phenomenon has always dazzled me, and whenever I see anything flying, I imagine how it must feel about flying and getting the better off Mother Nature in her environment. This feeling has never left me, and it has sowed seeds of my passion for aeronautical engineering. I want to pursue aeronautical engineering also because I believe it will add value to my professional and personal goals. My  primary goal is to be successful and travel the world while impacting positively in people’s lives. I want to grow big my career and start my engineering consulting firm.

My interest in pursuing a degree in aeronautical engineering stems mainly from watching my family struggle to work on odd jobs so that they could put food on the table and take us to school. As the first born of four siblings, I have made it upon myself to be responsible for the outcomes of our family. Not one amongst my family members has ever gone to college except for my siblings who are in high school and me.   Our family is foreign, and we relocated to the US, but finding a stable job for my parents has been difficult considering they have limited background in education. I remember during the last year of high school, I had to skip classes a lot because I had to work on part-time jobs to help raise money for my siblings to continue with their schooling. I have worked as a material handler in ..company, customer care,  a warehouse assistant, and a customer care assistant. It has been hard to get through; however, I haven’t given up because I have hope in what pursuing this career can do for my family and me.

I believe that change does not take place when circumstances improve, but when an individual decides to change their perspective about life. The idea that I could be the change for my family is an inspiration for me, and I can only achieve through getting a quality education and pursuing the right courses. As a result, I have decided to put more effort into school because it will improve my background circumstances. I have an eye for great things including big money. The profession of aeronautical engineering fuels many aspects of modern life technology from satellite operated devices to transportation, and as a result, the industry is growing and its value increasing.  With knowledge in aeronautical engineering, one can help change the world since it is the knife edge of modern technology. With a college degree in aerospace engineering, one can take up numerous jobs including design and ground engineers and the salaries for such duties are enormous and promising.

I chose to pursue this course at Texas Tech University because it has a sharp division of aerospace popular for its excellent facilities, and hence it will offer me an ideal place to achieve my professional career. By learning under the guidance of remarkable professors and students who I want to share my experiences with, I am confident I will be able to exploit my abilities to the fullest. Interacting with people of such big minds of the universe will be an enriching experience that will motivate me to be the very best in the field and achieve my professional goals. I want to have fun while studying this exciting subject, and the only place I can experience that is at Texas Tech.
